Question by Gossimer: How do you start a towing business that focuses on semi truck’s?
I have a body shop and towing service and we have recently started towing for Roadside Assistance companies. I would like to expand my services to inclued semi trucks but before I invest in the equipment, I would like a little direction about how to get these companies to put me on as their towing provider. And if there’s any money in it (the equipment is not cheap!)

yes ~ there are profits in that business; the price of the equipment is quite high as you know and also consideration of oil and gas prices is a consideration.

If you qualify to get listed with (say) the large service companies that service people all across the nation you’d be called when a service was needed in your area ~ the large roadside assist companies ~ Automobile Associations that sell memberships to their clients guaranteeing roadside assistance. There are many other things you can do; yet, this is a start.
